About WhiskAI.
A free, accurate, daily reference for prayer times across the United Kingdom and the United States.
What we do
WhiskAI publishes daily prayer times for sixty cities — thirty in the United Kingdom and thirty in the United States. We were built as a single, dependable reference for Muslims looking up Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha for their city, with no advertising clutter and no required sign-up.
Times are computed daily from the Aladhan calculation engine, the most widely audited open-source prayer-time service in current use. We use the Muslim World League standard for UK cities — the convention adopted by the Muslim Council of Britain — and the Islamic Society of North America standard for US cities, used by ICNA, ISNA-affiliated mosques, and most major Islamic centres.
Who we are
WhiskAI is maintained by an independent editorial team of writers and developers based in Europe and North America. We are not affiliated with any mosque, Islamic organisation, or commercial software provider. Our editorial is reviewed by readers from both regional Muslim communities before each city page is published.
What we do not do
- We do not collect personal data, run third-party analytics, or require any sign-up to use the site.
- We do not store your location server-side. The site optionally remembers your last viewed city in your browser's localStorage so the persistent header countdown can work — that data never leaves your device.
- We do not publish iqamah (commencement) times for individual mosques. Iqamah varies by congregation and should be checked at your local mosque.
- We do not provide moonsighting verifications or fatwas. Where dates such as Ramadan or Eid are mentioned, we cite the standard projected date and note that local moonsighting confirmation may shift it.
How to support us
WhiskAI is free to use and free to link to. If you maintain a mosque website, please feel welcome to use the embed widget linked from any city page. If you maintain a developer project, the JSON API is freely available subject to a generous rate limit. If you find an error in our content — a misspelled mosque address, a missing notable institution, an inaccurate detail in a city introduction — please tell us and we will correct it.
